Rude Girl Coffee Booking Policies
Plans change. Weather happens. Life gets weird sometimes. Here's the deal, no fine print, no runaround.
Booking & Deposit
A signed contract and a deposit lock in your date. That's it, that's how you get on the calendar. Once it's locked, we turn down other bookings for that slot, so the deposit's non-refundable.
One exception: if it's a Force Majeure situation or weather we genuinely can't operate in, you get your full deposit back, no fighting about it. What counts as "can't operate" is spelled out in Weather & Outdoor Operation below.
Payment
Balance due per your booking confirmation, no later than 15 days post-event. Miss it, and a late fee may apply, but if something's going sideways, talk to us. We'd rather sort it out than send you a stiff email.
Send us your estimated guest count 14 days out. If the real number blows past it, pricing adjusts to match.
Event Changes
Date, time, location, headcount, anything shifts, tell us at least 7 days before your event. Inside that window, things get tighter and extra charges may apply. Outside it, we're easy.
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes plans fall apart. Here's what that costs:
30+ days out: You lose the deposit. Nothing else.
8–29 days out: Deposit plus 50% of your remaining balance.
Within 7 days: Up to the full cost of what you booked.
Weather and Force Majeure cancellations skip this list entirely, see below, you're covered.
Rescheduling
Your deposit holds your date and time, period. It doesn't automatically follow you to a new date. Want to move your event? We can usually make it work; there's just a rescheduling fee since we're re-blocking the calendar. Earlier is better. We can't promise availability if you wait.
Venue Access
Make sure we can actually get the cart where it needs to go: setup space, parking, power and water if your event calls for it. We need access 1.5 hours before your event starts and up to 1 hour after it ends so we can break down right.
Got stairs or elevators? Confirm elevator access ahead of time. No elevator, or a sketchy one, means extra staff and extra time, which can mean extra cost. Tell us early so it's not a surprise on event day.
Weather & Outdoor Operation
We're a cart, not a building. We'll run outdoors as long as it's dry and 40°F to 90°F. If it starts raining mid-event, we move under real cover, an awning, a roof, something solid, or we head inside. Extreme heat or cold messes with the espresso machine, so weather outside that range might cut into what we can serve.
Questions?
Hit us up before your date, not the morning of. We'd rather talk it through now.
